Sweet Symmetry Fun Fold

Welcome back to my blog everyone! Thanks for visiting.
Today I am posting a card that I made many years ago, I no longer remember who
created the style card, but I wanted to see if I could recreate it from memory.
I think I did a pretty good job of it!
This card is for challenge with my DOswts team, and it is to be a fun fold.
I wanted to use the new DSP that I won at one of our team events as a prize.
I did not purchase this DSP but had been meaning to.
To make the card I used a piece of Night of Navy cardstock cut at 4 1/4 ins x 11 ins and scored at 5 1/2 ins. To the front of the card I adhered a piece of Bumblebee cardstock cut at 4 1/8 ins x 5 3/8 ins.
I then added a piece of the Sweet Symmetry DSP cut at 4 ins x 5 1/4 ins.
The stamping was done on a piece of Basic White cardstock cut at 3 ins x 3 1/2 ins.
I stamped the Color and Contour small flower 3 times (it is a 2 step stamp) and the sentiment from that same set.  It was then adhered to the front of the card.

For the inside I cut a piece of Bumblebee cardstock cut at 4 ins x 4 3/4 ins, adhered a piece of Sweet Symmetry DSP cut at 3 7/8 ins x 4 5/8 ins, followed by a piece of Basic White cardstock cut at 4 1/2 ins x 3 3/4 ins.
I stamped a flower image on the Basic White inside piece, and added a small piece of ribbon to use as a pull tab to open the card.
I then put all the all the pieces together with the inside being at about 1/4 inch and using my Cropodile which I haven't used in a long time, and punched a hole in the center of the short end of the card.
Make sure when you place the inside piece you do it upside down before using the brad.
I then added several Brushed Metallic Adhesive Dots.

It sounds complicated, but once you make one it is very easy!
I hope you enjoyed the card,

  1. Oh I like - I think I am going to have to "try" and make this. I don't remember doing this so may have to go to a couple of sites to look it up. Great job.
